In 2016 The City of Edinburgh Council embarked on an on-going project to develop a vision for Edinburgh 2050 and invited everyone with an interest in the city to share their thoughts and aspirations. • What is great about Edinburgh as a city? • What could be better? • What should Edinburgh be like in 2050?
Edinburgh Churches Together and the Presbytery of Edinburgh along with the City of Edinburgh Council invited churches and faith groups across the city to a workshop, to respond to this conversation as a group. They was no expectation that responses had to agree, but the aim was to submit a collective response to ensure our voice is heard in the process of shaping this vision.
One result of the workshop was to put pressure on the CEC to re-think their plan to introduce all day Sunday parking restrictions.
